About HHHS

Haliburton Highlands Health Services, working with partners and accountable to our community, promotes wellness and provides access to essential, high quality health services including Primary Care, Hospital (Acute Inpatient and Emergency Care) Long-Term Care, End-of-Life Care, Mental Health & Addictions Services, and Community Support Services for the residents, cottagers, and visitors of Haliburton County and the surrounding areas.

Leaders in Innovative Rural Health Care

The HHHS Haliburton site includes 14 patient beds in their Acute Care and Emergency Departments, serving both in-patient and out-patient requirements 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The site also includes 2 beds in the Palliative Care Centre, along with Radiology, Physiotherapy, and the main Administration offices. Highland Wood, a 30-bed Long-Term Care facility is located at the Haliburton site of HHHS, and Community Support Services is adjacent to the hospital, just across the parking lot.

The HHHS Minden site is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Emergency Department stabilizes trauma patients prior to dispatching to larger centres, and provides Ultrasound and Physiotherapy by appointment. Program offices for HHHS Supportive Housing and Diabetes Education are located on the second floor in the Community Health area. Hyland Crest, a 62-bed Long-Term Care facility is an integral part of the Minden facility. Geriatric Assessment and Intervention Network offices are also adjacent to HHHS Minden at 8 Winchester Street.
